There are some rules in hospital. First, doctors in some famous hospital don’t treat children less than 14 years old. You only can go to see paediatric doctors or go to children’s hospital. But sometimes we expect to see the versed expert on a certain diseases in general hospital. After I knew the rule from X hospital, I tried confirming it to telephone another hospital. When they said yes, I still expected some expectation. Therefore I asked: do you treat only adults? But we went to see expert in X hospital at last.

Making a registration in the hospital is very difficult, especially making an appointment with outstanding doctors. So precontract for particular service is very helpful, though it costs much. When I went to X hospital to make an appointment on Wednesday, I was too late to make an appointment for Thursday. Fortunately, the expert will also be available on Friday. At the same time, I found a slogan on the wall: make an appointment ahead one day! So I asked: can I make an appointment only one day earlier? The worker nodded and told me they begin to work at five minutes to 7o’clock in the morning. But on the evening of Wednesday we knew there was no number left for Friday.

I regret failing in dealing with both these things. I think the reason is the way I asked. Every time my question is to repeat the rule. As a worker under those rules, they had no alternative choice but to nod to me. If it’s better for me to ask like this: if we really expect the expert to help diagnose, can’t you make an expectation? And since we are really eager for seeing the doctor, can you help to make an appointment for me earlier?

It seems that if we always attempt to break the rules, we can achieve our goals. I really don’t think it’s healthy and relevant culture for a civilized country.

Someone comment this kind of phenomena as institution is fixed but human is flexible. What a satire!
